COMPOSTABLE DIFFERENCE: 60 BPI-Certified (ASTM D6400) Compostable pet bags included. Every doggy bag is vegetable-starch based, non-GMO, and cruelty-free. Even the roll cores and packaging are recyclable because details matter.

100% LEAK-PROOF GUARANTEE: At Earth Rated, customers are #1! That's why our bags are ultra-thick (20 microns) and have a 100% leak-proof guarantee. Bags measure 9 x 13 inches and fit our leash holder. Durable enough for small pups, larger dogs, cat litter, and wet weather.

CONSISTENT QUALITY: Tired of bags tearing? Or having difficulty separating bags? Our bags are super easy to separate at the seal because the perforation on every bag is consistent. No more hassle with torn, uneven bags. When you're on the go with your puppy, you can't afford to have equipment breakdowns!

LOCKS IN ODOR: Unlike many other bags that don't seal in odor, our extra-thick unscented bags are designed to hold up under stress, and keep any smells of poo from penetrating through. These rolls also pair perfectly with our top-rated leash dispenser so refills are a breeze. "The PB & J of dog walking!"

HELP US HELP DOGS: We’re more than just poop bags & dog wipes. Not only do we make high-quality, innovative products, but giving back is at the heart of Earth Rated and has been since our founding in 2009. Your purchase goes towards helping us support shelters & rescues, allows us to team up with non-profit organizations and supports fundraisers and adoption events!

These bags are really easy to open, they are good size and compostable!Love love love these bags! Easy to tear off the roll, easy to open without having to fumble or lick my fingers, incredibly durable & sturdy (I’ve never had one rip/break yet!), and although above asked about a scent, I believe I have the y scented variety- and yet they still don’t smell like dog poop! These are definitely my fave bags for this purpose! My dog has always pooped in the backyard, which we cleaned up regularly with a poop scoop. That is until, after 12 years, he suddenly decided he was afraid of the backyard after getting startled by a pine needle. At which point, he would only poop directly in front of my neighbor's house. Would he poop while on a walk? No. Would he poop in front of OUR house? No. Would he poop in a public space that wasn't personally offending someone who knew where I lived? No.Which was SO GREAT. I LOVED IT SO MUCH. I'd never picked up poop before, and was incredibly grossed out by it, imagining I'd feel heat or texture through the bag. THANKFULLY, I'd had a roll of these on hand - they were a GODSEND during his poop-in-front-of-the-neighbors-with-the-big-picture-window-three-times-a-day phase. Not only does the lavender smell do a bang up job at masking most of the unpleasant odors my dog produces (and ALL of them once the bag is tied off) but the bags are thick and resilient, and I don't feel like I'm touching poo. I've also never torn or broken a bag, which is really nice.I love my dog. And I love him more now that, after 8 months of pooing in ONLY ONE SPOT in front of my neighbors as they make eye contact, he's back to going in his own yard. But these poop bags, and the handy little container they sell that attaches to the leash, have been incredible. My first experience with these bags was somewhat less than ideal. Even though I purchased them from Amazon, apparently I got a not-so-fresh box, because when I tried to use the bags they stuck together, split, and were generally not that great. Since I had used Earth Rated dog poop bags of another variety in the past, I knew this wasn't the way they were supposed to work.I contacted Earth Rated's customer service directly and explained the problem. They couldn't have been nicer. Apparently, with these compostable bags, they can start to biodegrade within a year of production; after all, they are designed to start to break down within 45 days of use. That's actually good news, because who wants plastic bags of dog poop that remain intact for decades in landfills? Not me! And not Earth Rated. Not only did they send me replacement bags, but they also included a really cute pen and notebook set and a spare bag holder. This is a company that clearly values its customers and is committed to producing a good, environmentally-sound product. So few companies really go out of their way to value individual customers these days; I am loyal to those that do.The new bags work perfectly and I am very happy with them. I don't know how I will ensure that I'm purchasing fresh bags in the future, so I will do my best to make them last by keeping them in a dark, cool place in my house, like the pantry. I also might just stick with my other favorite, These bags are not even close to durable as the previous bags I've purchased. Very thin, almost see thru. I had to double bag them to prevent a disaster. This is the third compostable bag I have tried, and it will be the last, because I am sticking with this product! I started with a Arm and Hammer product that was available at Petco. However the bags tore easily when you tried to pull them off the roll or when you opened them for use, and I was always afraid of bag failure once I had picked up the poop, although I actually only had it happen one time. When Petco stopped stocking those, I tried another product, but the bags were too small (I have large dogs) and I couldn't pick up their poop without getting my hands dirty (YUCK!) I found the Earth Rated bags on the internet, and I was hesitant about ordering them sight unseen, especially since I knew that they would get more fragile with age, and I had no idea how long they had been sitting around with the retailer. Then I saw in a review that a user who had had a problem with bag failure had a good experience getting them replaced by the company, so I decided to give them a try. The bags are far better then either of the others I have used. They separate easily, no tearing. They are large enough for large dog poops, and I have had no bag failures when carrying poop, even when I am running, which my dogs and I do every day. With the A and H bags I always walked to the nearest trash to deposit the bag before I started to run again because I had no confidence that they would hold up to the extra jarring when I was running. I will be using the Earth Rated Compostable bags from now on!I bought these specifically as it said they were compostable. When they arrived it tells you that they are but only at industrial sites that many communities don't have. They are not back garden compostable. So may as well have just bought normal, cheap plastic poo bags. Really frustrating to buy a product that is marketed as being environmentally friendly when it isn't. Won't be buying again.Having recently discovered that biodegradable bags contain heavy metals that break down the plastic into little pieces that are still terrible for the environment and so no better than non-biodegradable plastic bags, I went in search of a compostable product. Currently a "compostable" bag made from plants rather than plastic seems to be the only environmentally responsible option. These bags fit the bill on this front and are strong and aesthetically pleasing. My only small gripe is that they don't have handles and are very fiddly to open. Sometimes I'm stood there for a minute or two trying to open one. It's not the end of the world for an option that isn't polluting plastic in the grand scheme of things, but I must admit being drawn back to the plastic nappy bags with handles I was using previously as they open really easily even when wearing gloves, which is an important factor when it comes to winter (I suffer from Raynaud's disease so gotta keep those gloves on!). Luckily these bags are long enough to tie a knot in them to close them, although my dog is very small. I'm not sure it would be big enough to do this if you had a very large breed. They are translucent so you can see the poo through the bag. That doesn't bother me at all, but I know some people find it embarrassing. These bags are also on the expensive side, so not affordable as my only poo bags long term (my dog tends to poop at least twice on walks, so if walked twice per that can soon become costly).Ultimately, whilst there's room for improvement, this is a good quality bag and I'm glad a compostable option exists. Will I buy them again? Possibly, although I'll be looking for an easier-to-open option for the colder months. If you look at your dogs poo bags and wonder what they’re doing to the planet, get these. Compostable means they break down fully over time, biodegradable ones break down but can leave micro plastics. These bags are not green, they're white/clear, which is not particularly pleasant for the job they're for. But what's worse is that, unless you open them really gently they tear down the seam on the edge of them, making them uselessThese poop bags are biodegradable which is great. They come non scented so I don’t upset my dog when I’m clearing up after him. The bags are sturdy and fairly large. Unfortunately they don’t have any handles.
