This freezer is a cheap dependable product with the ability to hold quite a bit of product and is extremly effective in holding contents for long periods. If you take the racks out you can store larger items you don't want in your upright hogging your minimal space. What I disliked is that the freezer was shipped/delivered with a dent in the front of the appliance. Couldn't tell that it had a dent until I had removed all the packagingFor what I paid it should’ve come frost free but everything’s gone up I love the freezer thoughVery spacious and with the 4 baskets, I have some options rather than just piling the food in the bottom. I think they could come up with a lower level sliding tray or basket, which would make for more options, but probably at a higher cost. In hindsight, I should have shopped local (Lowe's), as I found a similar chest freezer for about $200 less. Might have been a crappy brand/model, so I'm not too upset. I like the temperature control feature, as it's outside and not inside like some older models. It sure would have been nice to have an external temperature gauge, like maybe on top of the lid, possibly on one of the sides?? From reading the guide, if I want 0 degrees F, then the temp knob goes to 4 or 5, or in between, I'll figure it out once I get a freezer thermometer for it. I'm looking forward to using this and already moved all the freezer packs we've seemed to collect over the years into this. If nothing else, will free up space in the freezer in the house (Installed this chest freezer in the garage). I was a little annoyed that I couldn't elevate the install by using bricks, but the bottom of the chest just wasn't set up in a way that I could do that, nor did I see a way to mount any wheels or "feet", as it already has a couple of rubber "feet" on one end. I did have to shim one corner to stabilize it, but it wasn't terrible and it sits pretty steady on the concrete floor. My garage is detached from the house but I have power to the garage, so standard house plug in electrical is available. My only somewhat concern is during hot summers, the inside of the garage CAN get pretty hot, and on the flip side, during very cold winters it can get quite chilly; will have to see how it goes, but I think it will be fine. I had a smaller fridge/freezer (Bottom/top) in upstate NY back in 2002 and a couple of winters got down to BELOW -30 for a couple of weeks straight - anything left in the door position got frozen (Was installed in attached garage, which was unheated). I still have this fridge/freezer today in NC, but about a year ago or so, the freezer pretty much quit, even though the fridge still functions. I should be happy I got that many years out of an el-cheapo fridge brand.Silent dislike priceA little concerned if it closes tightly a little frost around the edge. Time will tell. But overall I think we’ll like it.Very excited about this freezer but extremely disappointed it came damaged. It would be too much of a pain to return it. So far works great thoughI didn’t see a lot of reviews for the 5.0 sized freezer so I’m hoping this helps someone out if they are looking. This took about a week to arrive. There is a small knick on the outside corner, however, it didn’t affect it. I wiped it out. Fired it up and it works. It is quiet that was one thing I was concerned about. You will see I have it in my laundry room. It doubles as a folding top when laundry comes out of the dryer. I don’t believe the heat from the dryer running so close has affected it so here’s to hoping it stays that way. I got tired of fighting my only refrigerator freezer to close shut so this has really helped with overflow and freezer items I choose to want more of on hand.
