I needed something to bring back to Alaska that would fit in my car, so this was the size. I thought oh, it would just hold a few small things, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw how much bigger it was inside than I ever imagined. And it works great.Bought the Midea MRU01M3ABB Freezer July 2021 as a back up for when I run into those chance meat sales at the market or whenever I need to stash some frozen items when my kitchen freezer or chest freezer are out of room or store some items from the chest freezer in the garage to nearer the kitchen for upcoming meal plans instead of running all the way out to the garage.Anyway it's been a good little runner for almost a year running 24/7 up until about 24 hours ago when I noticed everything was thawing out. Cursory inspection by sight and feel told me compressor went out. Compressor hot and the inside box temperature had climbed to 44 degrees instead of the normal -10 or so.Now I get to test and report back here my experiences with Midea "compressor and parts" warranty claim process and their performance. Hopefully I can safely say they are heroes and not zeros along with some good comments.Later. Bye !Para mis heladossee headline above.I've had this unit for about a month and it seems like a quality item so far. Unpacking and set up was easy. Fortunately, I didn't have to switch sides for the opening the door which looked complicated based on the instructions. It fit exactly the space I had in mind for it. It stays very cold on the standard setting and is rated for low energy use. The only negative is that, while the upper shelf is full depth with the removable rack in place, the bottom shelf is only half-depth. So, there's only about 3/4 of the space inside you would expect by looking at the outside. Other than that, I've had no reason to be disappointed so far.Great and quietMy refrigerator at camp is a 1947 GE and the freezer does fine just wont keep ice cream cold enough. This does a great job with ice cream and anything else you can fit into it. Although it does need to be defrosted every few months or so, it's a great little freezer that runs very quiet and efficient. 1.1 cubic foot is big enough to keep a 5 pound log of Jennie-O turkey breast, 3- one and a half pound slab bacon, 3 one quart egg containers, and 5 - one pound blocks of butter, along with a container of ice cream, and then it's full. Most reviews for mini freezers are mixed, so I was suspicious when I bought this to bring around the country for medical school rotations. It's a bit bigger than I expected, but it works great. Minutes after I plugged it in, it was down to the lowest temperature. I forgot some things I threw into it, and within 15 minutes of me moving things into a new airbnb, everything inside was frozen. I had been wanting some extra space for meal prep, so hopefully it lasts a few more years.
